Dr. Gabriela Moreira Lana
Assistant Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering
Dr. Gabriela Moreira Lana is an Assistant Professor in the Linda and Bipin Doshi Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T). She received her Ph.D. in Materials Science from Saarland University in the Leibniz Institute for New MAterials (INM) in Germany and completed postdoctoral training in Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her research draws inspiration from hierarchical architectures and adaptive responses found in nature to design soft and polymeric materials for biomedical applications. She is passionate about translating fundamental discoveries into real-world technologies through interdisciplinary collaborations across academia and industry.
